Activating your licence

The licence lives on the Licence tab of Cartless → Settings — Pro adds no menu of its own, because the thing you paid for should be found where every other setting lives. The tab says which tier is active and what it unlocks, in words rather than slugs.

Install Cartless Pro beside the free plugin and activate it. On the Licence tab, paste the key from your Freemius account. The screen changes from no licence found to active on this site and lists what is now switched on.

Agency grants Scale’s features with a larger site quota. Every gate is enforced server-side in the free plugin; the licence decides what to grant, never what to allow.

Launch covers one site, Grow three, Scale ten, Agency twenty-five. A site is one WordPress installation at one domain; a staging subdomain of that domain does not count. Moving a licence between sites is done from the licence screen.

One-click upsells work for people who buy from now on. Cards bought with before the licence was active were never saved — saving a card you cannot charge is the wrong consent to take — so those buyers cannot be offered one-click retrospectively.

What “no licence” means for a live funnel

Section titled “What “no licence” means for a live funnel”

Nothing that costs a sale. With no licence, or a lapsed one, Cartless still works: checkout, order bumps, coupons, profit reporting. An upsell or downsell step passes the buyer straight through to the thank-you page. Nothing is charged and nothing is lost; the offer simply is not made. Recovery emails stop; the counts continue.

While Pro is in development and no licence vendor is connected to a build, the Licence tab shows a Development control that sets the tier locally. It disappears the moment a vendor is wired in.
